The ultimate night light, based on a 2003 NASA Space Shuttle experiment to study animal life in space and test how ants successfully tunnel in microgravity, this is the only ant farm I would ever consider owning. Though the LED illuminator kit is optional, I would consider it a must have. Otherwise it loses some of that cool factor. The blue gel takes the place of soil creating both habitat and a food source for your ants. This is perfect for the geek in all of us since the ants do not need any food or water. Just set it and forget it!
