Good morning design blog readers, I have some exciting news for you all! In the near future (contingent on factors
out of my control) we'll be getting a major push from corporate (aka,
Judith, Barb,
Jason, Brian and his crew),
and we'll be lifting this blog more into the spotlight occupied by the titans. You may have heard of some of our sister
sites, Engadget, Autoblog,
Joystiq, Cinematical, etc. Anyhow, in
preparation for the whole mess of events (new name, logo, redesign, moving over to a new CMS, more team members), we'll
start out slow and try to take our time with the first item on our list.
Shawn Gold our publisher was able to score a few
Omni giant bean bags from
Sumo. Seeing that I am about to move into a new place, I begged him to hook me
up with one but he refused. No love for the bloggers, but he did say one of our readers could have it. But, we won't be
making this easy, no sirree, not for a $250 bean bag. In order to get your hands on this fine cushion for your tush'in,
how about you think up of a name for our design blog? Design.weblogsinc.com is kind of bland and unoriginal don't you
think? I'll have more official details and terms later, but start thinking about our new name! Even if we don't use
your name, we intend to give out the bag, so anyone who somehow contributes to the final chosen name, the bag will go
to them. Better than letting Shawn keep them. If I can't have one, no one at Weblogsinc can have one!
Oh, that pretty lady isn't included. Sorry, I have no control over that aspect of the photo.
