Life is grand at a smaller scale, minimiam

Minimiam

It's funny how things can look so different when scaled. Brings to mind the Conan O'Brien bit where he guesses what a photograph is as they pull it back. It's the process of discovery at various scales that really makes things unique and interesting. *Cough* holy cow that sounded like some bs archispeak. I apologize, excuse my pretentious statement.

What I really meant to say was that at first glance, these photos are interesting and nothing more, but as you look closer and study them, they are so wonderfully thought out. It's the little touches at this mini-scale that really gets me giddy. For example, the mowed/shaven kiwi and the scratched surface on the foil really conveys the amount of thought and integrity of these photographs.

Created and photographed by Pierre Javelle and Akiko Ida, minimiam, is a collection of photographs depicting how gorgeous life can be at a smaller scale.
