As with everything else in the world, things go in and out of style in cycles. Contrary to what some
designers/artists believe, I believe you really need to see and understand the past in order to blaze a new trail.
Nevermind the idea of contaminating your pure thoughts and process with those of old, if you don't know what has been
done already how will you truly be original? Is anything truly original?
So before you begin your next project, how about wandering over to this site containing the articles and page scans of
Design journal for the years 1965 to 1974. Reminded me of when I used to go to the library and look at the old
architecture journals trying to dig up old articles for essays. Must have been extremely tedious to digitize
everything, many thanks goes out to the team.
